2018 FRANCHISE & TRANSITION TAGS

NYOFACE teams can use one each of the Exclusive Franchise Tag, Non-Exclusive Franchise Tag, and the Transition Tag. Franchise / Transition Tags command the Franchise / Transition salary by position (see table below), or 120 percent of the player's previous salary, whichever is greater. The player can be signed up to two years. The deadline for submitting Franchise/Transition Tags is Thursday July 19, 11 PM PST.

• The deadline for submitting Franchise/Transition Tags is Thursday July 19, 11 PM PST.
• Teams submit their tags via the Comment box on their Preseason Roster Page.
• Garoppolo and Kamara Cannot Be Exclusive Franchise Tags
• In our original league, In-Season Free Agent Pickups automatically became Unrestricted Free Agents (UFA) and were available in the Auction Draft.  If everyone is in agreement, the league will allow teams to tag In-Season Free Agent Pickups, but only with the Non-Exclusive Franchise Tag or the Transition Tag.  That allows other teams to bid on these players.
• Exclusive Franchise Tags
• The league had never used the Exclusive Franchise Tag before.  This year will be the first.  Teams automatically sign their Exclusive Franchise Tag players.
• Non-Exclusive Franchise Tags
• The league will put up one Non-Exclusive Franchise Tag player at a time since there will be a compensation of ONE First Round Rookie Pick. (Previously, we compensated with TWO First Round Picks).  The order will be by descending order of players' salaries from the previous year.  The league will publish the list and the order. 
  
  With the deadline of July 19, 11 PM PST for tagged players, the deadline for teams' bids on the first tagged player will be July 20, 12 PM PST.  The bidding team will have to post in the Comment Box the Salary and the Contract Years (maximum of 2 years).  The winning bid will be the biggest total compensation (Salary x Contract Years). 
  
  The team with the tagged player has until 8 PM PST to match the bid.  If the team misses the 8 PM PST deadline or declines to match, the team will receive the winning team's highest First Round Rookie Pick in the upcoming Rookie Draft.  The next Franchise Tag player will be up for bid with a deadline of 12 PM PST the next day. 
• Transition Tags
• Once the Franchise Tag players have been processed, the same process will be carried out for the Transition Tag players.  Compensation will be one Second Round Pick.  (Previously, we compensated with one First Round Pick).
• A Player Signed For $40 Or More Shall Have a No-Trade Clause

Bids need to be submitted on the corresponding team's page.  I've added links to the owners' names.  If you click on 'Al' you can submit bids for DENVER DEFENSE there.  Justin Tucker was the only Exclusive Franchise Tag; Clemente signs his kicker for $4 and 2 years.
