2018 Rookie Draft

NYOFACE Dynasty Football League will have a two-round Rookie Draft.  The order was determined by last year's Playoffs and Toilet Bowl.  Each team/owner will have 24 hours to make a selection once the previous team has made its selection.

• Each rookie draft pick will have a $1 salary counted against the Salary Cap.
• Each team's Salary Cap will increase by $2 to to accommodate the rookie picks.
• Each team's roster will expand by two players to accommodate the rookie picks.
• Each rookie draft pick will have a 4-year contract, similar to the Practice Squad we used to have when we used Sportsline.
• If an owner does not make a rookie selection within the allotted 24 hours, the league commissioner will choose the next available rookie from the actual NFL Draft starting from the first pick.
• Teams announce rookie picks via Blogger posts.

2018 ROOKIE DRAFT FIRST ROUND SELECTIONS - Updated 7/26 Thursday 8 PM

Running backs dominated the first round in the 2018 Rookie Draft.  Seven RBs were selected with the first ten picks, starting with number one overall pick Saquon Barkley.  There were four quarterbacks taken in the first round, starting with Josh Rosen taken at #2.  The first wide receiver, Calvin Ridley, was taken with the last first round pick by defending champion Jon Legaspi.

SECOND ROUND SELECTIONS

July 27 Update: Fidel Berdan started off the Second Round by selecting WR D.J. Moore.  Moore is only the 2nd wide receiver taken in the 2018 Rookie Draft.  Teams must now submit draft picks via Blogger posts.  If you use an iPhone (or you're at a PC), go to http://bit.ly/nyoblog.  Click NEW POST.  Use ALL CAPS for your POST TITLE.  Please use the following format in the post title: OWNER NAME SELECTS ROOKIE PLAYER."  Feel free to write whatever you want in the body.  The post will use a default photo (subject to change).  Da commish will edit the post by adding labels (and a photo as time permits).  If Fidel can do it, so you can you.  I've added the hours and minutes to the post timestamp on the home page.  I still need to change the timestamp info when viewing the individual post.
