I just noticed that our draft is on Sept 4th. Doesn’t the NFL season start on Sept 5th? Ever since I have been on this league, our draft has never been completed in one session. Are we doing an all-nighter?? LOL!

Clemente, that's cool you still get flashbacks from our old auction drafts held in Yahoo Messenger.  Most of us were in Cali, while Allan was in Chicago.  I posted our 2003 NYOFACEFOOTBALL AUCTION DRAFT: CONFERENCE #1 TRANSCRIPT two years ago when I started this blog.  You joined NYOFACEFOOTBALL YahooGroup on June 27, 2003 so this was your first draft with us.  You're right in that, back in the day, it took us at least two days via Yahoo Conference Room chat to complete the auction draft.  Plus a bunch of emails during work.  LOL  We actually continued the auction draft via emails one or more years.  This  league has been through it all I think.

But in our reincarnation, we have been TWO FOR TWO in completing the auction draft in one session.  Below is our 2017 Auction Draft.  I missed the first 15 minutes or so, but I recorded my desktop during the Live Auction Draft.  It went from 8 pm to 11 pm.  I chose the shortest limits for nominating and bidding.  The 2018 Live Auction Draft also took about 3 hours.  That was mainly because four of you guys had near empty rosters due to default 1-year contracts (you missed the deadline for submitting contracts in 2017).

With some of us only having a few players under contract due to expired 2017 contracts, our Live Auction Drat should take about 3 hours again.  There's only the Bears-Packers game on opening night, the NFL's oldest rivalry, to kick off the NFL's 100th season.  So we should be good.

Use this address to post text and images (up to 10MB in size) directly to your blog.  Login to NYOFACEFOOTBALL.  Click SETTINGS.  Click EMAIL.  (Or go to http://bit.ly/nyomail).  Enter a secret phrase and SAVE SETTINGS.  Use a phrase complex enough so that spammers cannot easily post to our site using your NYOFACE Mail2Blogger.  I have other sites where I've had to use the option "Save emails as draft posts" due to these spammers.  Consider using a capital letter, a number, and a special character.  You know the drill.

Official league transactions, especially preseason moves which affect the Salary Cap for the Auction Draft, need to be submitted via posts to the NYOFACEFOOTBALL site.  This is similar to how we used our YahooGroup from 2002 to 2012.  After setting up your Mail2Blogger address, you can easily post to the site via email.
