Kickoff Game: Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots

Tom Brady got the biggest QB salary in our league, $48; Alex Smith had the 21st highest salary at $2.  Guess who got 42.7 points on the road, and guess who got 13.35 points?  I'll be measuring values by position each week so we can have hard numbers as to the actual value of players by position.  I can guarantee you that Tom Brady will not be in the Top 12 quarterback performances in Week 1, which gives him $0 value for the week.

• Tom Brady had 11 off-target passes in Thursday's game. Alex Smith had 2.
• Chiefs are the first AFC team to beat Tom Brady at home in which he played the whole game since the Jets in Week 10 of 2006.
• Alex Smith: 2-0 all-time head-to-head in regular season vs Tom Brady.

Is Kareem Hunt the next David Johnson?

Kareem Hunt needs a couple of seasons under his belt to be the next 'David Johnson.'  But what a debut.  He became only the third player to score three touchdowns in his first NFL game, joining Hall-of-Famers Marshall Faulk and Billy Sims.  Hunt's NYOFACE salary of $11 isn't in the neighborhood of David Johnson's $72, but it shows league owners were onto him.  Congrats Jon in signing Kareem Hunt.  The Glendale Chargers have him cheap for two years.

• Kareem Hunt is one of three players to have scored 3 touchddowns in his NFL debut.
• Kareem Hunt had 246 yards from scrimmage Thursday, the most by a player in his NFL debut.
• Both Kareem Hunt and Patriots RB Mike Gilleslee had three touchdowns on Thursday.
• Hunt outscored Gilleslee in fantasy points 45.6 to 22.5.

Defense wins NYOFACE championships

With all the scoring, it wasn't a good night for defenses.  With a shutout, multiple sacks/interceptions, and pick 6's, a defense can hit the hallowed 50-point mark.  The KC Defense only scored 10.92; NE Defense was a negative 7.86.

• 42 points -- Most points allowed by a Bill Belichick-coached Patriots team (307th game including playoffs).
