Basics of Yahoo! Fantasy Football Auction Draft

• Once the draft starts, managers take turns nominating a player to bid on in a circular order (1-12, 1-12, 1-12, etc). Each manager’s place is randomly selected by Yahoo. Managers have 30 seconds to nominate a player for bid or the system will nominate for them using:
• The first player in the nomination queue 
• The highest pre-rank valued player (if no players are queued)
• Once a player or Defense/Special Team is nominated, each manager has 10 seconds to bid on that player or DST. Highest bid when the counter hits 0 wins the player.
• Minimum bid - $1
• Maximum bid - Your entire budget minus $1 for every roster spot you haven’t filled yet

Salary Cap

We used $100 salary caps in our dynasty league.  When I created our Yahoo league and a test ESPN league, the salary caps defaulted to $200.  When I quickly googled for standard formats and projected values, most salary caps were also $200.  Do most leagues or articles use $200 caps?

I'd like to use the "projected values" articles out on the web to make it easier for all owners.  The values will not be an exact fit for our league since we will likely have a different roster composition.  But the projected values will give you a good estimate for the top players.

Since we're basically starting from scratch in 2017, do you guys want to change the salary cap to $200?
